FiberHome S16800 series switches (S16800) are next-generation Datacenter switches developed by FiberHome for service providers and enterprise networks. The S16800 provides high density of 10/40/100GE ports, and supports intelligent network optimizations using MPLS, traffic analysis, comprehensive QoS, multicast, load balancing, and security as well as high-performance of Layer 2 to Layer 4 switching. In addition, S16800 adopts high-reliability technologies such as non-stop forwarding, ring protection, redundant control and power supply. It can be deployed in various scenarios, such as core and convergence layer of WANs, MANs, campus networks, and data centers. 

Together with Fengine 6900 series switches, Fengine 16800 enables you to build scalable, simplified, open, and secure networks.

  • High Density Interface

The S16800 supports high density interfaces, max 2304 10G,2304 25G, 576 40G, 576 100G ports. 

  • High Switching Capacity

The backplane capacity of S16800 is up to 56T to provide all ports with non-stop forwarding. The S16800 high performance makes sure to build a reliable, sustainable high speed IP networks.

The S16800 supports multi-lever switching; the L2 to L7 flow can be identified, each port support separate packet filtering, so that different control can be applied.

  • Carrier Grade Reliability

The S16800 adopts redundant design of key components, such as main control, power supply, fan and monitoring. The seamless switching can be achieved via the redundant main control card. All cards are hot swappable to make sure that service could not be interrupted when switchover to redundant parts.

And S16800 provides enhanced Ethernet reliability technologies such as STP/RSTP/MSTP, VRRP, R-link, Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (G.8032) at millisecond-level protection switchover to ensure link-level reliability.

The S16800 also supports 802.1ag, 802.3ah and Y.1731 Ethernet OAM standards and BFD to make sure that it is 99.999% reliable.

  • Superior Quality of Service

The S16800 supports 802.1p, WRR, SP/PQ+WRR, WRED, DiffServ priorities scheduling to ensure the highest-priority packets are scheduled ahead of all other packets. And it supports L2-L7 flow classifications.

  • High-Performance IPv6 Service Support

The S16800 supports IPv4/IPv6 dual stack. IPv6 wire-rate processing is achieved by hardware forwarding. And it supports other IPv6 features, such as tunneling, IPv6 static routes, RIPng, OSPFv3, BGP4+, IS-ISv6, and IPv6 PIM, IPv6 ACL. to meet the requirements of independent IP networks and IPv4/IPv6 integrated networks.

  • Excellent Security Design

The S16800 offers a comprehensive ACL security solution including standard ACL, extended ACL.  

And subscriber security are protected by DHCP Snooping, ARP Inspection. IP Source Guard can be used to identify each customer based on MAC, IP address and port information to help prevent malicious attack.

Switch security means CPU can be protected from attack and storm control, such as DOS, etc., the port security feature allows controlling the number of MAC addresses against the overflow of the switch memory and MAC address table.

The S16800 supports IEEE 802.1x authentication to prevent malicious terminals to attack the entire networks.
