Brazil, a member of the BRICS in Latin America, has achieved a coverage of 10% in FTTH/B by the end of 2018, according to the report of “Fiber to the Home Council.” With the development of the economy, Brazil has a strong demand for the growth of FTTH/B coverage. Numerous operators and ISPs hope to cooperate with internationally renowned optical communication manufacturers for practical FTTx full coverage products and solutions to replace traditional copper cable access mode.
Operators and ISPs in Brazil requires a highly quality of FTTx products. All products must be tested in local third-party laboratory in Brazil, and must meet Brazilian standards rather than general international standards. Passing ANATEL certification is the threshold for product to be accepted by Brazilian operators and ISPs. The ANATEL certification for a single product takes 6 to 9 months, and includes testing of more than 20 key projects.
FiberHome was invited to participate in the FTTx construction with Brazilian operators and ISPs. Owing to the highly reliable products and the standardized quality systems, a variety of FiberHome’s optical cable products have successfully passed the ANATEL certification, opening the door of cooperation with Brazilian operators and ISPs. Based on the market demands information obtained from years of in-depth work with operators and ISPs in Brazil, and the deep understanding and successful experiences of the FTTx all-round network and the ICT solution, FiberHome has developed a series of high-quality and low-cost optical access network solution to extensively participate in the construction of optical networks in Brazil. Quality breeds trust. As a carrier of optical network infrastructure, after more than ten years of close cooperation, Brazilian operators and ISPs are full of praise for FiberHome’s cables for the consistent good quality, timely supply, reasonable pricing and quality service.
Due to the large purchase volume of FiberHome cables, FiberHome products are required by Brazilian operators to perform local testing and acceptance based on their management regulations for major suppliers, including complex mechanical and optical performance tests for optical cables. FiberHome has overcome the difficulties in land lease, local equipment installation, and import declaration in Brazil to build a world-class optical fiber and cable test laboratory in nearly 2 years. The laboratory has a full range of high-precision fiber and cable testing equipment, which can perform whole product testing independently in Brazil according to the Brazilian ABNT NBR test standards. At present, the five major operators in Brazil have formulated a mature and stable local inspection system for optical fiber and cable with FiberHome.

Once the trust is earned, it will be fruitful. According to data released by Brazilian Telecom e Instalações (RTI), FiberHome is the only Chinese manufacturer shortlisted in the Top 3 in the Brazilian ISP market, and has become one of the most important suppliers of Brazilian telecommunications full-service solutions. The customer's trust in FiberHome also extends from product quality to technical strength, service response and project management. FiberHome has also be invited to solve product problems by customization development at the first time, network operations are under FiberHome’s maintenance, and FTTx end-to-end Turnkey solution is fully run by FiberHome. Now, FiberHome has tightly bound to Brazil, the football kingdom, and will help Brazil's optical communications network’s coverage reach a higher level.
