MWC 2026: Mundo Pacífico Honored as "World's Fastest Fixed Network" with FiberHome's Support
During MWC 2026, the world-renowned internet speed testing authority Ookla announced its latest evaluation results. Chile’s leading telecommunications operator Mundo Pacífico has been honored as the “World’s Fastest Fixed Network”, thanks to its exceptional performance in key indicators such as fixed network speed, stability and user experience.
This prestigious award is a powerful demonstration of the in-depth integration between FiberHome’s state-of-the-art technologies and Mundo’s years of local operational experience. As a pioneer in Chile’s digital transformation, Mundo has been consistently committed to upgrading the local digital infrastructure. As its core strategic partner, FiberHome has provided critical support for Mundo to break through network bottlenecks and achieve technological leaps, backed by its profound accumulation in optical communications technologies and global implementation experience.
The partnership between the two sides reached a major milestone in 2025. Responding to Chile’s urgent demand for network upgrades, they jointly built a joint innovation lab dedicated to the commercial research of 50G PON technology. In the same year, the two parties launched Latin America’s first 50G PON solution in Santiago, Chile. This breakthrough has positioned Chile at the global frontier of next-generation fiber access technology, and built a solid foundation for the operator’s latest world-class award.
Moving forward, FiberHome will further deepen cooperation with global operators, continue to focus on cutting-edge technological innovation, and drive the upgrade of global digital infrastructure. The company will bring premium connectivity experiences to more users, and contribute to the shared prosperity of the global digital economy.
